Duke and Cinder are absolutely wonderful. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Cinder is more independent than Duke, however. It is possible that Duke feels the need to "protect" his "wife" but he is not totally sure of his new surroundings so he has some anxiety about caring for her. He is getting better by the day and you can see and feel him physically relaxing. Also, the gray fuzz on his face makes him look more worried than we think he is.

Their general health is good although they have senior dog health problems which are all easily manageable (more details after final vet check up).

The pair sleep in the big bed, love to cuddle and enjoy the company of our dogs and cats. They are well behaved, house trained (aside from the initial marking) and generally happy and content.

They are familiar with our routine after just one week. They will truly make wonderful companions to their forever family. Whoever opens their home and heart to these old puggies will be very lucky to have them as part of the family. If anyone has considered adopting senior pugs, these are a great pair.

Foster Update - March 31

Cinder and Duke are very bonded. Duke takes care of Cinder and always makes sure that she is okay. He is more nervous and stressed than she is but he is calming down with time. They have eaten their meals and they did settle down and slept through the night in the big bed after a game of "beach-blanket-bingo" with Winston. They are kind, loving and a truly special, bonded pair.

Introduction - March 29

Duke and Cinder, are coming to us as their owner has to move into a senior's apartment and cannot take them with her. They have been deeply loved and cared for all their lives and will now be looking to return that love to a new owner. We will have a foster update and photos in a couple of days.
