Hi Quilters,

Just wanted to let you know that the quilt will be ready in the New Year in time for Pugintine rather than our earlier date. The quilt is requiring more work than anticipated due the variance in the blocks and I want to make sure the quilt gets all the attention it deserves.  As soon as I have it ready I'll post it in secret for the quilters to have a sneak preview. Thanks for your patienced!!

HI Everybody,

The top of the quilt is now done ( all but 2 squares were able to be utilized )  and will be travelling with me to Ottawa to have it 'Longarmed'.  What is that you say??  Well the next step is the sandwich  ( layer of quilting and backing put on ) and then ornamental sewing that is done on top of all the squares.  The actual sewing of pieces together is referred to as piecing although I still say quilting.  The next step is the quilting.  Once that is done I will bind it by hand.  A typical Longarm machine is worth about $15,000.00 so that might answer the question, why up to Ottawa!!  The earliest date I could reserve to use it is Feb. 25th which puts us past the 14th.  It will be ready for St. Paddy's day now.  I would like to thank everybody for their efforts with this and look forward to seeing the finished project!!

If you click on this link, I hope you can see the pictures.

Yes a lot of Love, Kindness, Generosity and Pug Hair have gone into the making of this quilt and now it can be yours. The Pugalug Quilt Raffle is officially open. Tickets are $5 each. The draw will take place at Flower Power on April 18. You do not have to be present to win the draw.
Mark will be putting up the Paypal button on the Events page if you want to order your tickets through it. Otherwise, you can send a cheque/money order to our post office box and I will send you your tickets.

Thanks to Deb Folkes for getting the project underway and guiding it through to completion. And thanks again to all who contributed.

Dear Quilters,

The final product looks even better now that it has been 'quilted' ( that's the sewing all over the top of it part ) and the binding is on.  Going to be hard to part with it so I better get myself some tickets.  It's being shipped out tonight.  Thank you again for all of your contributions!!!!

Yes, I will give it to Sigrid, along with raffle tickets, to bring on Sunday.

Jean, will you be able to set it up at the raffle table? maybe you can find a spot to hang it for display
