If all members contributed one square, perhaps bring them to a Pugalug or mail them in even? Then someone has the massive job of piecing them all together and sewing up the rest? Still looking for an old Singer, so I'd have to hand sew something. That would be one big quilt!! For this project I'm hoping for 12, 12" blocks. Who knows, it might get bigger and that would be fantastic!! I don't mind doing the putting together part either. Deb Put all the exact requirements up for everyone, including mode of retrieval and due date, then see what they come up with? Perhaps all the pieces can even be posted individually for everyone online to see even before the lengthy job of putting it all together begins? A way for everyone to contribute! Great idea you had!  |

I am looking for 12 x 12 ( please don't trim them, I will ) sewn blocks. That means the blocks will be about 12.24 - 13 " squareish before they are trimmed. Whatever pattern you are most happiest and comfortable doing will be perfect. It will be ecclectic for sure, that will be part of its beauty. When we have the completed blocks done, very easy to mail then I'll do all the lattice etc. to put it together and the final quilting. There will be a block sewn on the back with the names of all the quilters, dates too. This could be a lot of fun!!!

Deb Would the finished blocks be mailed to Pugalug or can they be dropped off at upcoming Pugalugs? Also, would it be possible to post a pic of one as an example for others, especially those doing it for the first time? Any specific theme from the obvious? A great community project, that's sure to be fun and be able to help a LOT of pugs too! |
