Well done!  I'm delighted to hear he is responding so well to the insulin treatment.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for no stones too!

Good job Kilo!

I am not sure if this is available or vets of not but it would be something to ask about.  My son has had Juvenile Diabetes for 7 years now since he was 5 and when he was first diagnosed he was using an insulin pen.  It is easy to use you  just dial up each unit.  It would be easier to turn to 2.5 units each dose.  My son's actually was geared toward children the doses went up in increments of a 1/2 unit of insulin.  The insulin comes in cartridge instead of a vial.  It is more accurate than using a syringe when you are talking about 1/2 units.  Here is a link for the pen my son's was the Jr.  /www.diabetesmonitor.com/pens.htm
If Kilo was on a short acting insulin it would work they are not too great for long acting insulin, or at least they weren't 7 years ago.

I'm on the insulin pens for my Gestational Diabetes and it really is an nice, easy, accurate method to do these injections.  I have the long and short acting insulins so I can tell you that the long acting works great now.

My oldest son uses the pens as well and has done very well on them. Much more flexible than the older methods

Wondering about how Kilo is doing. He must be just about due for another vet check and hopefully more good news. Will he be at Pugtoria this weekend?

We met Kilo at Pugtoria today. What a handsome boy and so much slimmer than his initial picture. He'll make some furever very happy someday.
