Bea's adopters emailed me this morning to say that Bea has gone to the Bridge.  She has been struggling with increasing hind end weakness and loss of mobility and they felt she had had enough and let her go yesterday.  They will send in a Rainbow Bridge tribute when they are less distraught.

I'm so sorry to hear of her troubles and glad she is now free to run and roam with the other Bridgers.  My condolences to her adoptive family as well as Kim and Blanche who looked after her in rescue.

Dear friends,
I just wanted to write you with such great thanks.

Beatrice left us on Friday and we are besides ourselves with sadness.

From the moment she entered our lives she was such a bright shining star.  As someone who works from home, Beatrice and I spent all of our days together, going for walks, and laughing and loving.  And now with her gone, we are so sad, but know that she is free from the difficulties that faced her in her everyday life as her hind legs deteriorated and her mobility lessened.

I never really looked into the forums here but the past few day i have spent many hours reading them and am inspired and thankful for such a wonderful group of people.  Reading all of the stories has helped me though difficult moments and i imagine that i will be more present on the forums even though i don't have a sweet little pug right now.  I know that in a few months we will begin looking again.

Right now, i am crying for the loss of Beatrice.  My little lady who was the funniest, most loving and soulful dog i have ever had the honour of knowing.  I think that she taught me more about life than i ever would have imagined.

Thank you for your kind words, the lit candles.  It means the world to me.

And special thanks to Kim and Blanche for such support through this difficult time.

best,
Lisa and Dave

What beautiful words of how much Beatrice meant to you.  Thank you for sharing how much joy she brought to you.  It brought tears to my eyes and makes my heart ache for your loss.  I know you will cherish your memories forever, I hope that with each passing day you find the tears lessen.

Thanks Pam for your kind words.
And everyone else of course...

Things are easier as the days pass.  I know that she is happier where she is.  And she will always be in our hearts.

But the thing is that i am finding it hard to write her Rainbow Bridge story, it just makes it so final, you know?

It is becoming obvious to us that we really love pugs and that our household misses that energy. Even the cats are a bit wonky without sweet Bea and her puggy ways!

Soon we will start looking for another furever friend to join us.

Off to write the Rainbow Bridge piece to share the joy that was Beatrice.

hugs to all,
and thanks for all of the support.

Lisa
