You can't imagine how surprised I was to get this news and really got me thinking about what to do with this gorgeous quilt. Then it came to me. This quilt is meant to keep on travelling and helping Pugs in need. Our little quilt is going National and is going to be donated to the Pug Club of Canada for their rescue fundraising. For those of you who don't know Dagmar Skala the fundraising Chairperson of the PCC, Dag was the original Pug Rescue known as Peach Pugs from which Pugalug Rescue grew. One of the big shows it will on display at is the 'Nationals' held in Calgary this year. Thank you to those of you who contributed to this effort not only by making the beautiful blocks but also to all of you who so generously supported the raffle. Sincerely, Deb

Way to go - and congrats on winning the quilt. The quilt will be like the "sisterhood of the travelling pants" - raising money for pugs in need - very cool!!

I also think this is a spiffy idea. I got my first pug from Dagmar--Petie who was blind, but such a fine little dog. I also fostered for her and ended up adopting my foster Bob from Peachy Pugs. He was many things--but a fine little dog wasn't one of them!!
And I get another chance at winning it.......

Congratulations Deb and I think that's a fine gesture to pass the quilt on to the Pug Club of Canada.

That is fantastic! My Mookie was a Peachy Pug and that is how I started getting involved with fostering for Dagmar.

I just want to mention how incredibly generous this is of you, Deb. Many people contributed the beautiful blocks to the quilt, but I know how many hours and dollars you personally added to it. And now to send it on to reap more rewards for the puggies is amazing! Well done!! It is certainly worthy of being on display.

To add to this.....the quilt is out in Calgary now and will likely be in the hands of the PCC rescue and raffled off by the end of 2010. They are trying to raise as much as they can for rescue.
