Hi Ceasar and welcome to our community. This weekend, when you are at the vet, there is a big dog festival here in Toronto. I will have your picture displayed, asking all the good people who visit us to send you good wishes.
I will come visit you, Sandy and Deb this summer.

For a 12 year old he looks absolutely outstanding! Curious to see what the vet visit turns up, because he looks great, would never imagine he was 12 looking at the pictures posted of him.

Cesar saw Dr. David yesterday. He is going for surgery to have some dental work, a fine needle biopsy and some X-rays when he is under anesthetic. He had lots of blood taken but we don't have the results yet. All of this is very good news; he is actually quite healthy for a (almost) 12 year old boy. His left eye is fine; he may have been born with one eye lid smaller than the other or perhaps had eye surgery long ago. He will go back to the vet with his foster brother, Mugsy, as he needs surgery, too.
Ceasar has settled very well; no accidents, has relaxed, met some other pugs this weekend which he was smitten with and is feeling more confident.
We will keep you posted.

Hurray for Ceasar! Good news for the most part. Can you have him speak to Tank who I ended up carrying at Woofstock as he was being a (1) refusnik re walking and (2) a vacuum cleaner for all things dropped on the street--edible and inedible.....

Sounds like mostly good news for Caesar. What is the fine needle biopsy exploing?
And for Tank, bless his sweet heart. Even Tank has his limits, after all Momma, he is only Pug!

I hope the dental and biopsy go as well for Caesar also. Poor Tank, you lost your job as a garbage collector.

I still think for an almost 12 year old pug, he looks absolutely amazing, never guessed he was 12 unless I was told.

You are right; we typically take senior dogs as fosters and for our own. We were just talking about the fact that we don't remember the last time we had a dog who could climb the stairs. We have quite the production at bed time!! Ceasar runs right up there and waits to be lifted into bed. He has a playful spirit and is so very, very adorable. He doesn't like toys but will try to play with the other dogs and loves to sniff the cat's butt. We can't believe his is 12 either.

Cat Butt Sniffing is an olympic event here. It's become really exciting now that we have a Cone Head in the group.

I think Cat Butt Sniffing sent my youngest cat, Lolli into the cat-version of a pugtona last night. Never seen anything like it...feline with the crazies, butt snugged down to the ground zooming like Jem-on-crack.
And Blanche, Jem wants to know when the next qualifier is for Olympic CBS??? He's in!

He really sounds like quite the catch and quite the character. Love seniors pets of all kinds, but many stairs here, so only the most athletic can cope.
