Higher Protein Food

I've sucessfully switched Rocky to Orijen fish formula. It has a higher protein content than the Wellness Core he was previously eating. Believe it or not he was eating 2 cups of the Core a day. He's an active little loon and he was maintaining a healthy 17 lb weight on that amount of food.
I'm wondering if he might need a lesser amount of this higher protein food than the Core?
Any thoughts?

I'd cut it in half (1/2 cup per meal totalling one cup) and see how he does. If you need to increase it, then you can. Easier to go up than down.......

Yeah, I'd say cut it. Orijen and Acana have a higher fat content than some others.

Jem and the Geeg are on Orijen fish and they love it. Geeg eats about a cup-a-day (plus fruits and veggies) and Jemmers eats 1 1/2 to 2 cups a day...but he's stupid-high energy most of the time and while i keep trying to put weight on him, he just runs it off. He also gets a lot of fruits and veggies. I'd agree with Blanche- better to start out at a cup a day and up it if you need to than feed him too much and have to try and take off poundage.
