He goes in for his pug face lift tomorrow morning bright and early.  He's gonna be hacked off at not getting any breakfast.

So wish the little weiner well.  I'll update tomorrow when I know anything.

uh....NO!  And with 6 dogs in the house right now, it ought to be really fun to have a cone headed puppy around......

Good luck little Pippin.
What surgery is he having Blanche?

He's having his nose fold removed, his lower eyelids turned outward and a bunch of eyelashes burned off.  In short--a face lift.

Maybe some of that foam wrapping stuff for hot water pipes would help.

Just glue around the edge of the cone.  Should save your shins a little....

I wonder if he'll figure out how to use it like a shovel.....just think of the rocks!

Good luck Pippin!  We'll be thinking of you tomorrow little boy, and your poor foster momma. Try to go easy on her!

I'm way ahead of you, Lizz.  I have cones that are cushioned on both ends.  Saves his neck and my shins.
I've heard about this surgery but have seen before and after pictures.  It will be interesting to see how much it changes his face which is so cute right now.

His whole nose fold?  Why?
I'd like a face lift....does your vet do human face lifts too?

Good luck tomorrow little one and sending serene thoughts to your foster momma too! Our Sasha had the fold above her nose reduced and she's still one major cutie. I don't think anything could change that face of sweet Pippin to make him any less than adorable. We'll be thinking of the two of you tomorrow.

Here's the dealio with Pippin's face.  First, his lower eyelid are somewhat tilted in towards the eye.  Secondly, he has eyelashes growing in towards the eyes.  Third, the nose fold is pushing everything even further into his eye and as a result, his eyes are constantly being abraded by the lashes,  and the lid.  So we are going to remove the fold--I have no idea if they take the whole thing or not--turn his lower lids out a bit and burn off the eyelashes that are growing out of his tear glands.  Hopefully, they won't grow back, but they might.  If they do, then he'll have to go back for repeated removal of the lashes.  Pugsley (Dave and Pugsley) has to have this eyelash removal done as does Laura's Maude.
As to Dr. Goldstein doing human face lifts........I'd say it's a long shot!
