To Dear Miss Maude and her Momma

Miss Winnie and Miss Sasha haven't had the pleasure of making your acquaintance yet, in Pug, that is Maude, however, they feel like they know you. Their Momma reads them tales of your antics from the forum and they think that you are most probably a kindred spirit. They send their very best wishes for a happy happy 2nd G Day and hope that your Momma caters to your every G Day whim!

Now for your Momma, congratulations on celebrating the 2nd anniversary of having that high spirited little Pug girl come into your life. Little did you know that life as you knew it would never be the same! A match made to enrich both your lives, if ever there was one! Hope the day is wonderful for both of you. Will look forward to the 2nd G Day tales!

For her Gotchya Day Maude went to the Taste of Little Italy, where she was compelled to taste all the napkins and Kleenex on the ground.   Huh?

She also got a few things that made me realize I need to rethink how I spend my money:

1. She now only eats the tasty bits of a bone and though there are still lots of good things left on it, she drops it and looks at me for a new one. Giving me a total of about 10 minutes of bone eating peace and quiet.

2. She played her new and rather expensive puzzle game I got her at Woofstock. This now takes her about 3-5 minutes to get all the treats out of. Once they are all gone she then spends 10 minutes barking at it when she moves the pieces and there are no treats, followed by more barking, this time, at me.

3. She also got to have two of the frozen dog treats (again not that cheap) I bought her at Woofstock. These did occupy her a bit longer but the outside one, which was initially in a plastic dish ended up out of the dish covered in grass and dirt. The other I gave her inside (duh) and that one ended up being pushed all over the livingroom leaving a wet trail of melted banana and apple all over my floor, the last bit ending up under my stereo cabinet forcing me to try clean this up by sticking my arm under there with some paper towel. Once I figured out how much money I spent to give her frozen fruit puree, I came to the conclusion I could probably make that at home for a whole lot less.

My main goal when buying things for Maude boils down to - how long will this keep her busy giving me some peace - I don't think any of these succeed too well.  Roll Eyes
