I only just caught this thread Candace.... very sorry to hear poor Salvador is not feeling well. I am glad to hear there is some improvement today. Thinking about you both, give Salvador a big hug from us.

Ah, thanks! He is doing okay. We are reducing the prednisone. It did help him. He is perky, especially around treats! He trys to run, in a very sloppy manner. When he is tired, he drags himself by his front legs....that's pitiful. He doesn't seem to be in pain and loves to go to the park and that is good. We are going to keep him on a very low dose of 1/4 tab, everyother day. That is what he use to be on for allergies. It is low enough that it doesn't have any side effects or damage to the liver or kidneys. We will see if it keeps him at the level of mobility that he has now. |

"Perky, especially around treats" tells the tale! He is still enjoying the finer things in life. Salvador clearly has an abundant spirit, if only our physical being could be governed by our spirit.
