He and Gooey could have a play date!  They could have a drag race together.  Hobble, wobble, sit.  Hobble, wobble, sit.  Seriously, glad the boy is making some progress.  What a trooper he is.

I only just caught this thread Candace.... very sorry to hear poor Salvador is not feeling well. I am glad to hear there is some improvement today. Thinking about you both, give Salvador a big hug from us.

Can I throw Pugsley into the mix Wink
Laughed at the hobble wobble sit part; reminded me of Pugman except he hasn't
quite hit the "sit" mark! He does the hobble wobble part very well these days Smiley

So hopeful that Salvador is ready to give it a good try and has improved. Sending healing thoughts for strength of spirit and continued physical improvement to Salvador. And thoughts of encouragement and support Candace to you. How we love our Pugs.

Animals are quite amazing how they can go on compared to people, truly inspirational.  Good to hear this...

Ah, thanks! He is doing okay. We are reducing the prednisone. It did help him. He is perky, especially around treats! He trys to run, in a very sloppy manner. When he is tired, he drags himself by his front legs....that's pitiful. He doesn't seem to be in pain and loves to go to the park and that is good. We are going to keep him on a very low dose of 1/4 tab, everyother day. That is what he use to be on for allergies. It is low enough that it doesn't have any side effects or damage to the liver or kidneys. We will see if it keeps him at the level of mobility that he has now.

"Perky, especially around treats" tells the tale! He is still enjoying the finer things in life. Salvador clearly has an abundant spirit, if only our physical being could be governed by our spirit. Our best wishes to you Candace and Salvador as you both adapt to these changes and enjoy time together this summer.
