Hey all,

I guess this was the best place for this post...

Hugo went into surgery this morning for his neutering appointment. EEK! Good news is that he is doing great and is playing with the vet techs and using his puggish charm on them! Wagging his tail and welcoming all the other pets in the office! He's staying overnight at the Vet...with his blankets and toys mum sent with him.

Thing is....I'M MISSING HIM LIKE CRAZY!!! I've only had Hugo for 9 months, but man...how my life revolves around this little dude! We are suppose to go pee-pee, play fetch, play in the kiddie pool, eat dinner, eat peanut butter, chew on your bone, lie by my feet and snuggle with me in bed.

I miss my Hugo. I miss my friend.

Aww Ashlee, I'm happy to hear all went well for your Hugo and I'm sure he misses you too.
Enjoy the breather while you can, as I'm sure your little Boy will be wanting lots of your attention when he comes back home.

Happy to hear Hugo is doing well. Today is the day for your great reunion. Hugo will be so overjoyed to see his Mum. Isn't it amazing how these little Pug characters work their way into our lives and take over! I remember when Winnie was a puppy and after we had had her for about a week, I thought "what have I done?" They can be such a presence and a bit overwhelming in the beginning but over time everyone settles in and then the magic spell happens without our realizing until one day we can't imagine our lives without them. I guess that's what it means to be pugged and it sounds Ashlee like you have been pugged in a big way.

It's crazy how incredibly attached we get to these little guys in such a short time!  It sounds like Hugo is in very good hands but I bet he's missing you too  Smiley  I'm curious why he had to stay overnight?

Oh I'm so glad Hugo is back home with you!
You know they are in good hands at the vets, but you miss them like crazy (and vice versa)
I bet he doesn't even miss those annoying boy bits at all either!!

Friday evening update! Hugo is back to his normal self again! Crazy little pug.

He's a little swollen "down there" and the vet said it's due to over activity....looks like someone is going to get lots of bones to chew and some more time in his crate!

FYI - I bought him a Bully....it's a piece of bull penis...eeek! Although my little man absolutely loves it!! Weird little dude.

Thanks for all the support...I know it's a routine surgery, but it's still worrisome.

Love,

Ashlee and Hugo Smiley

There is no such thing as routine surgery when it's your baby involved  Smiley  Hugo's in good company when it comes to the bully sticks...there are a lot pug around here that love those things  Wink

I'm so glad to hear that Hugo is himself again.  Good luck keeping him quiet  Cheesy

Ashlee, it's good to hear your Hugo is feeling better and pretty soon when he's all healed up he'll be able to run like the wind again Cheesy

I forgot to mention...Hugo apparently has to put on a few pounds. Has anyone ever been told that your pug needs MORE weight?? Hehe.

Any suggestions for putting weight on a pug? I need to get him up another 5 lbs.

Eek!
