lol  awww Pugsley you are one lucky diva to have
such a handsome boy save you!
Wink
Bubba just looks at Pugsley with a (excuse the er language)
WTF on his face. I think secretly Bubba leads Pugsley into
these messes to see what happens Wink  then stands back
looking all innocent!

Pugsley has yet to meet the dreaded "fitted sheet monster" however
several years ago he did manage to find out that the bed is not round and
realized very quickly there is an "end" to the bed and the start of the
dreaded "black hole".
He would go to sleep and roll off the bed! Having done this several times
did not teach him to glue his body to mine like all the other smart pugs;
who knew about  the dreaded "black hole" NOPE Pugsley was an adventurerous
Pug!
Until ........... he landed paws up in a box beside the bed  Roll Eyes
wished  I had a camera at the time. Usually he  would wail because  he was no
longer  on the bed but I do believe he met his match. Paws up and no where to
go, I think he was slightly embarrassed to be "caught" by the box Wink

Deb: there will be plenty of pawpaw prints on the floor come the fall Wink

Okay Sad my heart nearly broke last night Sad

I got home late from the reno house and got the boys
settled (or so i thought)
went to get cleaned up and out of the living room came a horrible
bray!
Its the only way I can describe it!
I ran out to see what was going on just as Pugsley lifted his head straight up to the ceiling
and let out this mighty horrible sound!
It was so heart wrenching and all i could think was he was in pain!
I checke dhim out and he was fine and then glued to my side!
Dear gawd, my heart was pounding!

Has anyone experienced this before???

Mom said while I was at the G20 Pugsley had started to "howl"
and here I thought she meant his nightly cry to get outside cause she wasn't used to it!
But it was this gut wrenching "bray" at the top of his lungs.

it is the wierdest thing too, he is just laying on his blankets; but lifts his head up as long as he can stretch his neck and looks like he is looking up at the ceiling and away he goes???

I truly wish no  one out there has to hear this awful soul wrenching noise!

cry

Oh Lori I can't imagine the heartbreak, it sounds awful.  I hope poor Pugsley is okay.  The first time I read it I thought maybe a bad dream, but when I re-read it I changed my mind.  Could he be hearing something that is making him upset?

Hi Pam!

No  Sad  its me I'm afraid that did this to him Sad

I'm a bad pug momma lately Sad

Was on day shifts and he hates when I'm on day shifts; cause I kinda sneek out, when they are sleeping; so they don't get up and wake my mom up and he doesn't know where I am. Uusally if I go anywhere I say I'm heading to work then he is okay. I leave at 5am so I don't want them up disturbing my mom.
Then to top it off, after work I go to the reno house and do about 2 hrs of work and get home and it is almost bedtime by then and he only gets to see me for a couple hours!  He is missing his cuddles!

I'm thinking it was a broken heart Sad  Pugsley way of saying "I miss you"  Sad Sad   cry
Cause I was really late getting in that night and I fed them shooed them to their bed and went for a quick clean up and that did not sit well with the old man Sad
Apparently he did this when I was at the G20 too! Sad  I thought my mom was crazy, saying he was howling while I was gone, but I got a blast of it this past week!

I feel really bad Sad  but there is nothing I can do until we get into the house Sad

He hasn't done it since, but now I'm on holidays and he gets a bit more of me!

Aww, the poor guy is just missing his momma - it is good you are on vacation and can spend some more time with him.

you are describing the sound that twinkie makes when she is missing me. chewy goes on two long walks every day vs. twinkie who takes maybe three walks per week and does the rest of her business in the yard. in the morning chewy and i might head out while twinkie is asleep on the couch. she does an ear-piercing shrieking noise on the realization i am not around (sometimes waking the husband who just got off night shift - oopsy.)
it might just be a bit of loneliness. i wish i lived close to you so i could pug sit, but only because i want to see what kind of mischief he and chewy could get into together. one stuck under the bed, the other tangled in curtains...

I know this sound and have heard it from a few pugs ... Higgins will do this when Carolyn leaves sometimes when we are sitting him (he's a real ladies dog) and I'm pretty sure that Candace posted a video of one of her boys doing this at one point too, I remember seeing it and laughing as Higgins had done the exact same thing a few days before that.  It is pretty sad sounding though, like someone stole their only friend :/

Haha Tawn!

Chewie would have a buddy under the bed!
Pugsley would probably  get stuck there too Wink

I thank you for offering  pugsitting! I sure could
use it this week! I've  almost finished the main
floors! Thanks to a great friend who  came by
today to offer  her services!

Mark,  it is a most soulful sound and very
upsetting!

its definitely heart breaking  Sad

Poor little man, poor momma.  I hope he enjoys your time on vacation and things settle down to normalcy in your life. I have been off work since November and I am returning to work on Monday.  I hate to see what I am in for on Monday when I get home.  Sully cries when I run the kids to a friends house around the block.  Gotta love these little guys, they make you feel so loved and wanted Smiley

Well he was not too happy with me getting up at 6.  Actually the first day wasn't bad he was excited to see me but nothing crazy.  On Tuesday he cried for about 5 minutes when I got home.  I think that the kids were home all day Monday though, Tuesday they were out gallivanting.

I'm back from holidays! Bonjour Ladies Wink and gentlemen!

Pam: so glad Sully made it thru your back to work week Smiley

Well Pugsley was calm for the most part on my Holidays.
I was working the reno house from early morning till about 10 or 11pm and
Bubba was the vocal one  Roll Eyes for the most part.
Such noises I've never heard coming from that boys throat LOL!
Sure is good to know that you are missed Smiley Smiley
