Oh my poor Melvin!!! He was happy this morning because he was getting his stitches out and no more cone head. He had his stitches out and I had to go out but he was home with my mom. I came home approx 2 hours later and almost had a heart attack when I looked at Melvin his face was wide open! The place where they took his wrinkle out was wide open. The whole length of the one side of his face and half of the other side of his face. It was gross! So we went right back to the vet and he glued it and put new stiches in. He is stuck with the cone for two more weeks. At least the stitches at his eyes are good ( fingers crossed) and his hernia is good. Thank you all for your thoughts. I'm thinking Pinky needs a cone too just to feel she is being treated fair. lol

Oh Carol, that's horrible! Was your poor Melvin in distress? Obviously the stitches weren't ready to come out, what did the Vet say? Well, I'm sending my best wishes again, for a much better heal this time.

I guess they weren't ready to come out but they looked fine to me. It was horrible I was ready to start crying when I saw him. I don't think he was in pain but it couldn't of been to comfortable. Extra cuddles for him.

CRAP, Carol. I'd have had a stroke. I'm glad it got repaired quickly. Good for you for keeping your cool and getting him right back to the vet.

Poor Melvin! That must have been so scary! Thank goodness, it happened when you could get back to the regular vet!

Candace Since Melvin problems have started I changed to the Kingston Road Animal Hospital that is 24/7 and it is so close to me. I find it more expensive then my other vet but I like it because it is 24 hours and very close.
