Oh dear, poor Bugs the Bluefoot. Kisses for a swift grow-back and return to normal exercise. Tell your dad you buy some Kwik-Stop Styptic Powder to keep on hand in case it opens up again.

Bugsy is starting to feel much better today. He was very sadsack yesterday. Not much tail wagging or anything, but today he is waggy again and even gave out some kisses. He gets to see the vet tomorrow to remove the bandaid and check on his paw.

Sorry to hear about the incident Mark and hope he doesn't mind wearing the bandage of torture, because his photo doesn't seem to happy with the prospect of it.

Het got checked today and all is well. Bandaid for a few more days at least and he got a new one today, a lighter shade of blue. He wasn't happy the first day at all, but he's doing better now. The vet wrapped his foot too tight today though, had to loosen it up as his foot was falling asleep ... But after some adjustment it's much better now and he's more his usual happy self.

Houdini got out of his elfin blue boot overnight ... so it got put on once again this morning. If he gets out tomorrow night again I think that may be the end of the blue boot ... there was no blood or any issues this morning (nor was their any blood inside the foot dressing). The underside of paw is still sensitive (which is where the problem lies, not with the nail as I had thought) but not overly so -- his nail is crooked, but not loose at all and not sensitive. He was happily walking around the bed with his bandaid off and it didn't seem to slow him down any.
I don't think this bandaid has another life's worth of wrap in it's future ... so if he sheds it tonight it's just going to stay off (a day early).

It's hard to keep dressings on their feet or legs, for that matter. He looks a little perturbed and wondering where the extra cuddles are!

Does he always look as if he'd like to place the camera in an unspecified portion of you anatomy? And Bugsy, I hope your feeties are much better!

He still looks unthrilled by the blue foot he's stuck with, but it won't be for long, just too bad you can't explain that to him. it might make the experience more bearable if he understood that.

Bugsy has his own ideas about blue vet wrap on his tootsies. Tank wouldn't be all that charmed either.
Hope he continues to do well. I once had to put duct tape on a dog that had sliced it's paw in the park--wrapped my sock around the foot and duct taped it until the owner could get him to the vet.

I have a container of Quik Stop in bathroom cabinet. I only have had to use it once. Ended up dumping have the bottle on a paw - but it did the trick.
