INTRODUCTION - December 5, 2021
Meet Willow, a sweet affectionate energetic 2 year old female pug who came into rescue through no fault of her own about a week ago. She has settled into the routine of walks, play, eat, sleep, repeat. Her favorite activities are playing with her toys and sitting/sleeping on the couch next to people, while demanding affection.
Willow will be visiting the vet on December 13th to get a full checkup and begin her vaccines. Her hernia will be checked out and, depending on what the vet says, repaired when she is spayed early in the new year. She has a few allergy spots on her back which we hope will disappear with a change of food.
New to city life, Willow is quite fearful of the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood. Loud noises are scary and other dogs are intimidating for now but she is learning to relax on walks and enjoy the smells. She is not impressed with car rides nor when her foster people leave the house. We’ll be working on helping her feel more comfortable with these situations. She’s quite comfortable with having her nails trimmed and having her booties put on for snowy, salty walks so we’re sure that she will conquer her other anxieties over time.
Overall, Willow is a smart dog who is eager to please. And just too cute!!
