DALLAS - 10 YEAR OLD FEMALE
STATUS: IN THE PUG ABODE.
FOSTER UPDATE - JUNE 22, 2024
Dallas is an approximately 11 year old pug that was previously fostered through Under My Wing Pug Rescue since September 2023.
She came in with bad eye and ear infections. After an enucleation for eye issues due to an optic dermoid and treatment of her infections, she has been so much more comfortable!
She and her foster brother seemed to love each other from day one. They are often seen cuddling together and enjoy a good rumble a few times a day.
Dallas has been feeling well with some preventative maintenance. She is a calm and sweet girl. She gets most excited for meal time!! That's when she'll bounce a bit and let out a few pug barks. She was overweight when she came in, so we've been working towards a healthy weight.
Like so many pugs, she is amazing with our kids, loves a good couch cuddle, and is all around a joy to have around. We are happy to be part of the Pugalug community!
INTRODUCTION - May 3, 2024
Sweet 10-year-old Dallas was recently transferred to Pugalug from our friends at Under My Wing Pug Rescue. As their rescue winds down operations, we are proud to be able to step up and take over the care of Dallas, who is in hospice care in the pug abode.

Dallas is doing well and seems happy, she has adapted beautifully to having one eye. She is a happy girl that gets along so well with her fur brother, Fritz, and our kids. Dallas loves to cuddle on the couch more than anything, but also loves a good play session with Fritz and a walk in the neighborhood.
Overall, she just seems to enjoy life and her people to the fullest, so we are lucky to be the recipient of this love.

Dallas had one eye removed as she was completely blind from that eye and it was causing her real discomfort. She is healing very well. She has bonded very well with the resident dog Fritz.

Dallas is such a lovely dog. She has settled into our routine well and this has greatly reduced her separation anxiety.
She is great with our resident dog and they love playing together. She has been enjoying hanging out in our backyard with the sunshine lately and likes playing with soft toys.
We are currently doing another round of medication for her ears. We have her booked for booster vaccines and a dental/skin tag removal. She will also be seen by the specialist to assess her optic dermoid.
Overall, she is a happy and sweet girl. A dream foster really!

Dallas is a sweet and spunky lady. She is so happy and joyful despite a few medical issues that will be sorted out with the vet. She settled in here quite quickly! She seems food motivated, and has been eating and drinking well since her arrival. She looks like she will need to lose a bit of weight. Housetraining seems good and she is always excited to see the leash. Dallas has started playing with toys and with our dog. She does exhibit some respiratory difficulties when more excited. She will do a lot of reverse sneezing and gets a bit congested at times. She is quite spry for her age though! She demonstrates some mild separation anxiety. She likes to follow me everywhere around the house and will whine/bark for a short time when we leave the house or if separated from us in another room. Typical velcro pug that just wants love. Dallas enjoys hanging on the couch together in the evenings. In terms of health issues, she came in with eye and ear infections which are being treated. She has an ocular dermoid that will be assessed and will need dental. Her nails have been trimmed, but the quicks are fairly long.
