FOSTER UPDATE - SEPTEMBER 1, 2026
Ellie has settled beautifully into foster life! 🐾 She's become a pro at leash walks in her harness 🦮, and has even discovered a love of car rides 🚗 especially when she can see out the window. Her outgoing personality shines everywhere she goes; even the team at her first vet visit 🩺 couldn't get enough of her charm.
At home, Ellie has struck up her own particular truce with the household crew: she's decided her foster family's big dog 🐕 and affectionate cat 🐱 are worthy of respect, and has started to accept (and maybe even enjoy) their attention. When she's not busy investigating every corner of the house or supervising the day's activities, you'll find her doing her signature zoomies 💨 — or curled up on her back on the big bed, sleeping as close to her foster mom as possible 💤.
On the medical side, Ellie has had her first full vet workup, including vaccines and bloodwork 💉, and is doing great overall. Her tests did pick up some crystals in her urine, so she's now on a special diet 🥣 to help clear things up, and she'll be heading back to the vet later this month for a recheck 🏥. All going well, Ellie will have her spay and eye enucleation surgery early next month.

Meet Ellie 🐾
Ellie is a charming 4-year-old fawn pug who has recently arrived at Pugalug and is already proving that having one eye certainly hasn't slowed her down!
Ellie is now getting the care, attention, and veterinary support she needs as she begins this next chapter of her life. Ellie has a missing eye, which will be assessed by our veterinary team to determine the best way to keep her comfortable and healthy. A full check-up with our vet team is coming up soon. 🩺
She is outgoing, curious, and very sure that everyone she meets is simply another person who needs to be charmed. She has already made herself very comfortable with her foster family and particularly enjoyed meeting their daughters and receiving plenty of attention. 🥰
Ellie is a busy little pug who loves exploring. She has been checking out every corner of her new home and seems determined to make sure she doesn't miss anything. She is also wonderfully nosy about the people around her and has an impressive talent for getting right up close to investigate. 🔍
There are still some new skills for Ellie to work on. She is not yet reliably housetrained and is learning to become comfortable with a harness and going for walks 🦮. Her foster family is taking everything at her pace while she adjusts to her new routine.
Ellie has already shown us that she is a sweet, inquisitive, and incredibly personable little pug. She has been through a lot of change, but she is embracing her new world with enthusiasm—and she seems to have decided that everyone she meets is a potential new best friend. 💕
